1. Apple Music - The Best Music App for iPhone
The built-in music app on the iPhone is just called Music. However, there is a paid component, which is basically a subscription service that gives you access to an enormous library of songs (50 million), albums and exclusive content you won’t find anywhere else. Apple Music has three price plans to suit your needs; one for students, one for individuals and another for families who want to share their tunes. With a paid plan, you can download songs so that the music app works offline.
If you don’t want to pay for a streaming service, one of the best features of the Apple Music app on iPhone is that you can create your own library of music and listen to it offline. You can create playlists using the Music app on your Mac and then sync it to your iPhone or other devices. Then you can carry your music with you wherever you go.
2. Spotify
Spotify is another top-rated music service. You can download a free version, but it limits you to shuffle-only mode, and you can’t listen to every song. They also have a paid Premium version, which allows you to download songs. Then you can use the Spotify music app to listen without Wi-Fi.
Spotify Premium also removes the ads, enables you to create radio stations of music you like, you can play every song in their library and skip songs as well.
Spotify has a user-friendly interface and offers a massive music library. They also provide access to exclusive content and live sessions you may not find with other services. Spotify works on Android and iPhone, but you can also use it on tablets, the computer, Google Home speaker, smartwatches, and in your car.
3. Amazon Music
Amazon Music is another excellent option for playing music on your iPhone. If you have an Amazon Prime membership, you already have access to a pared-down version of the streaming service. For only $8/month, you can gain access to the entire 50 million song library, ad-free. The Amazon Music app on iPhone is attractive and easy to use and shows the lyrics so you can sing along.
If you uploaded your entire music library before January of 2019, then you also have access to that on all your devices and any playlists you created. Unfortunately, Amazon no longer allows users to upload their own music. But with access to 50 million songs and radio stations, you probably don’t need to.
Another great thing about Amazon Music is you can access it using your iPhone through the app or use your Echo and Alexa-enabled devices for hands-free control of your music.
Music is a Personal Thing
